Autumn Applesauce

It’s the season to eat apples, falalalala-lalalala 🍎 Applesauce is great for baking and it tastes super delicious on top of oat meal 🍏

RECIPE

makes approx. 2 L (65 oz)

INGREDIENTS:
– approx. 20 apples
– 1 tsp. vanilla powder (or vanilla extract or 1 tbsp. vanilla sugar)
– 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:
Peel and core the apples.

Cut them into small pieces.

Add the apple pieces to a large pot together with vanilla and cinnamon.

Let the apples cook on low heat until all the apple pieces are gone and have become applesauce, approx. 45-60 minutes 😉

Stir once in a while (every 10 minutes or so, a little more in the beginning) so that it doesn’t burn.

Let it cool and then transfer it to air tight containers. Store in the fridge.

This makes a pretty large batch, so I like freezing some of it and save it for when apple season is over.
