It’s Nuts, Milk

Two types of delicious nut milk; almond milk and cashew milk. Making your own nut milk is both easy and way cheaper than buying it and you can make it just to your liking. 



– 1 dl (½ cup) almonds or cashews (soaked overnight)
– 5 dl (2 cups) water
– 2 dates (optional)
– ½ tsp vanilla powder (optional)
– A sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Add the soaked nuts (try not to laugh) and the water to a blender and add the optional ingredients that you want (I like adding all three for the perfect breakfast nut milk)

Blend for 1-2 minutes until it’s smooth and creamy.

Strain the milk over a bowl using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth (or if you don’t have any of these you can use a fine-mesh strainer) until all the liquid is extracted to the bowl.

Save the pulp for baking or bliss balls (freeze it if you don’t know what to do with it yet)

Store the milk in a covered bottle or jar in the fridge (good for a couple of days)
