Never-Get-Sick Smoothie

Sea buckthorn aka lemon of the North 🧑 This little orange berry is bursting with vitamin C. A single sea buckthorn berry actually contains more vitamin C than one whole orange 🍊 

 

RECIPE

1-2 servings

INGREDIENTS:
– 2 dl (0.8 cup) sea buckthorn (I used frozen)
– 2 oranges
– 2 bananas
– 1 small piece of ginger (adjust to your ginger-liking)
– a splash of water

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut the peel of the oranges and add the oranges to a blender.

Peel the bananas and break them into smaller pieces and add them to the blender together with sea buckthorn and ginger.

Blend all the ingredients. Add a little water as you go to get the consistency you want (you might need any water if your oranges are nice and juicy).

Blend well until you have a nice smoothie.

Serve over ice and if you want it to look a little pretty, sprinkle some orange peel on top.
