Post Workout Shake – No Protein Powder

Super easy post workout chocolate shake and only THREE ingredients!  No protein powder just straight up plants 🥦💪


makes approx. 600 ml (20 oz)

– 2 frozen bananas (approx. 200g/7 oz)
– 80g (3 oz) cooked/canned butter beans (white lima beans) rinsed and drained
– 2.5 dl (1 cup) almond chocolate milk (or you can use regular plant milk and add 1-2 tsp. cacao powder)

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend really well.

You can add more or less of the liquid in order to get the consistency you prefer.


White lima beans are pretty much tasteless when added to a smoothie or shake but provide high quality plant protein as well as being rich in dietary fiber. Furthermore, white lima beans contain great amounts of folate, iron and magnesium. The health benefits go on and on
